Thanks also for getting your swimmers signed-in/out of tomorrow's meets and accepting your volunteer positions. If you haven't yet accepted your position (or checked to see if you have one), please log on to your portal and do that now. If you cannot work, remember you need to email your rep before the list is posted. If you are assigned and cannot work, you need to find a replacement - do not put yourself in as your own replacement - this just creates more work for our reps who are already volunteering extra time for the team. We need every family to do their part so that the kids have a great experience and the work load is fairly distributed.
Remember that starting next week practices at CB South shift later by one hour because the high school swim season is beginning. This starts next week on Monday, November 17. Tonight's practice is as it's been. Please see the website (schedules - practice - swimming) for the new times that start on Monday.
Parents and siblings – please clean up after yourselves in the balcony after meets and practices. This goes for swimmers on deck as well - last weekend SWAC swimmers did a pretty good job of keeping their deck area cleaned-up - THANKS!
A few FYI notes:
Lost and Found is located in the equipment room (immediately to the left upon entering the pool at the blocks end). Ask a coach to show you if you need help.
No wheeled shoes of any type are allowed on/in any Central Bucks school district facility.
Swimmers must be rostered with the league 10 days prior to competing (officially or unofficially) in any league meet (dual, championship, invitational).
Swimmers must swim in 2 of the 5 November/December dual meets to be league eligible to swim in the January dual meets or in individual league champs (A champs).
During dual meets and invitationals, swimmers must stay on deck in the area specified by the deck parents and or coaches. If a swimmer needs to leave the deck area briefly (e.g. to use the restroom) s/he must ask the assigned deck parent. It is not the job of the deck parents or coaches to search for a swimmer when it’s time to line-up for races.
Remember - if your swimmer has a last minute issue and cannot make a meet for which s/he is signed-in, call team track (number on home page of website) and leave the coach a message.
Recall that Snow/Emergency cancellations will be announced by website (www.cbsd.org – follow the community school and aquatics programs links then scroll down to the bottom of the list and choose “Weather Cancellations”). We will also try to send emails and have the information posted on the SWAC site, however, cancellations are on the Central Bucks site immediately and the volunteers sending emails and posting items to the SWAC site are not always available immediately. See the handbook for general rules about when practice will be held when the district buildings are closed or have a modified schedule. Further, it is recommended that you always check email and the websites before going to practice as unexpected cancellations do happen.
